Lake Erie Nature & Science Center

Today Tyler's Tiger Cub Scout group went to the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center. Since Spencer's soccer game got rained out today we decieded to make it a family event and took everyone. I think all the kids had fun. This is the first time that we have been here.

In the lobby was a giant log that the kids could climb through. They were able to see live deer, a bald eagle, hawks and they were even able to pet the turtle. Since it great way for us to spend a saturday morning since we have this beautiful cleveland weather to deal with. I am really looking forward to some nice weather with some sunshine.

A Very Busy Week!

Well, this has been a very busy week in our household. April 1st - Hunter decided that he wanted to start to use the big boy potty. We really weren't thinking of potty training him but I guess he was ready and so now we will be concentrating on getting him to use the potty full time soon. It shocked us when he said he had to go poop and then went and did it on the potty...we were cheering for him when he was done.

April 2nd & 3rd - Hailey decided that she was going to take her first steps by herself. I told Jason that she had taken 2 steps on her own and then when Jason got home in the morning he put her on the floor and she took 5 steps and walked to him. This is just exciting to me and the thought that our kids are growing up. It's also nice to think that we are just one more step closer to no more bottle, diapers and baby toys. After almost 7 years of diapers and bottle in the house we are ready to move on to the next phase in our childrens lives.

Now to April 9th - Jason was out with the kids and watching Spencer ride his bike. He came in the house and told me that he didn't think that Spencer needed training wheels anymore. I told him to go and take them off and see what happens. Three minutes later he was back in the house and said "Well, that was the easiest thing I've done". Spencer was already off and riding. Jason never had to leave his seat. He put Spencer on the bike and told him to "Go", and Spencer "went".

I can't think of the last time that we have had a productive week like this, and it was all self-driven by the kids.

AWANA Sparks-O-Rama

Tyler attended his first Awana Olympics today and did a great job. Only 2 other churches showed up and all the kids had a great time. First Baptist Church of Elyria took first place. Tyler was excited to be able to win. Spencer is looking forward to being able to do this next year with his brother.

Hunter and Spencer had a fun time cheering Tyler on...."Go Blue".

Easter 2008 - Part 2

After Easter Services it's off to Mom and Dad Friesner's for our traditional holiday pictures, lunch, and Easter Egg Hunt.

Easter 2008

Wow! I can't believe that we have let this much time go by without updating our Blog....so much for staying on top of it. Thought I would just try to get started again.

Spencer and Hunter had a blast coloring eggs. Hunter had fun just taking the eggs and putting them in the colors. I don't think that any 1 egg was in the color for more than 10 seconds. I also think that each egg was dipped into a color at least 10 times...and it wasn't always the the same color. All that mattered was that he was having fun. Spencer was just trying to get as many eggs done before Hunter gave them a dip.

As you can see we had to take the boys shirts off for fear of them wearing the colors. Not so much Spencer but more so Hunter. You never know when he is in the mood to throw things.

All in all they had fun making the eggs and they were so proud of the work they had done.

Easter Sunday the boys woke up to see that the Easter Bunny had dropped off some gifts for them.

On Sunday, we had a Baby Dedication for Hailey. This was our opportunity to thank God for giving us a beautiful and healthy little girl and to dedicate her back to God.

It worked out perfectly that it was also Mother's Day which made it more special for me.

What a busy weekend! It started out with the boys playing soccer!

Thank you mom for showing up and bringing the cold weather! =)

Both teams won which made for a nice weekend....thank you to Aunt Sheri who stepped in to help Spencer on the field.

Tyler is really starting to get the hang of attaching the ball, and getting the ball away from the other team. He did prevent a goal which made his day since he really wants to be a goalie.

Spencer just wants to score a goal and play with the bigger kids. In the end the game was tied and all of the kids had one chance to score a goal. Spencer finally had his opportunity to make a goal and score for his team. This made his day when he went up to take his turn and scored for his team. Great Job Boys!!!
